Deep data...
On any given day customers can compare current year GDDs, average temperature and accumulated precipitation to the previous year's values, or to a 50-year average.

Broad application...
Accurate weather data predicts crop development stages, pest hatchings and harvest schedules. Alongside soil type data, weather data can help growers make optimal seed selections as well.

Weather data can be an invaluable crop management resource. Using daily data feeds from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather stations, the E4 Weather software module calculates accumulated growing degree days (GDDs) on a field-by-field basis. Such data helps growers anticipate planting schedules, harvest dates, field pollination, pest hatchings and more. Like the Agronomic Testing and E4 Field Notes modules, the Weather module allows customers to anticipate issues and opportunities as early as possible.

There is no charge for using the E4 Weather module. It is made available to customers using any of E4's other software modules or services.

How it works:

If field parameters are not already in the system, customers configure them using the E4 Gateway module.
With fields configured, the system uses the most proximate weather data available to automatically calculate average temperature, accumulated precipitation and GDDs. Customers can quickly see how current year metrics compare to the previous year and to 50-year averages.
Customers can generate a variety of weather reports, read them online or print them for offline reading.
